Brock is a Chartered RPEQ (Civil) and a Senior Road Safety Auditor with 12 years of experience in the planning, design and delivery of infrastructure projects. Having worked for a wide-ranging client base in the private industry, local and state government, his primary skills sets are in the areas of road geometry, intersection and roadside design. He is competent in all associated aspects including turn warrant assessments, swept path analysis, road safety solutions (safe systems approach and safe system assessments), the undertaking of Vericom assessments for advisory speed sign identification, road safety auditing, pavement design, surfacing design, guardrail design and hydraulic design (catchment and flow path analysis, time of concentration, equal area slope method, rational method, scour protection).

While Brocks’ primary skills are road design and road safety, he is also well versed in applying extended design domain and design exception principles. He is highly experienced in the preparation and submission of funding applications for a wide ranging government client base. He has significant experience in asset management both through the Department of Transport Main Roads as well as through flood management activities with the Local Government. Other skills also include line-marking and signage design, cost estimation, construction supervision and contract administration.

Brock also has experience in stormwater networks systems, sewer design, water supply and with a broad understanding and appreciation of the road lighting and traffic signal design required in urban project locations.

Caleb Schipplock

Caleb is a highly skilled Chartered Civil Engineer (and RPEQ) with 11 years of industry experience. Working with Downs Roadside Engineering, Caleb has project experience in dam failure impact assessments, dam acceptable flood capacity assessments, flood impact assessments, hydrologic/hydraulic and scour assessments, stormwater infrastructure, culvert, bridge and detention basin design and asset management.

Having worked on projects in the private and government sectors, Caleb is skilled in hydraulic assessments and analysis of existing and developed infrastructure, as well as their effects on the key stakeholders and the environment. His other experience includes hydraulic model calibrations, GIS mapping and analysis and water quality assessments.
